Top is my 1955 Winchester 94 30-30. Bottom is my new 1974 Winchester 9422. It has never been shot and I verified yesterday when I cleaned it.

I've never heard anything but good about the 9422's. Very attractive firearm.

I killed my first deer with the 30-30. My dad has killed numerous deer with it. When walking through the woods it's my go to gun because of the versatility. It has been used/shot a lot and never had any issues. It's definitely not a safe queen. It shows it's wear but it is taken care of. I hope to do the same with the 9422 with my son.

Good to see them without scopes.

IMO, putting a scope on a lever gun is like adding a bed cover to a pickup. While it may have a purpose, it just changes the overall appeal.

I agree Texas Dan. Since the 30-30 is top eject the scope has to sit so far forward it looks weird to me. Plus I've personally not had a problem with shooting out past 100 yards with iron sights.

Now you need a '94 in 38-55 and 450 Marlin to go with 'em! loser8

Might as well throw in an 1895 in 405 too....... clap

I did find a 38-55 but will have to save up for it. I've also seen a couple of 17hmr but they seem to be really rare and hard to find.

The 9422 is a beautiful gun, but the wood on that '55 94...gorgous!

Slickest leveraction I have ever shot or cycled is a 9422M Trapper that was that way out of the box and now resides in the safe most of the time.

That is the best figured wood I think I have ever seen on a 94, both are great looking guns to bw proud of.
