Scope for 300 Blackout

I want to know what scope you guys would recommend for a 300 Blackout AR. Most of the tactical scopes I see are calibrated for a 17, 22 or 223.

Not looking to spend a fortune but want a scope good for deer and pigs.

And EOTech would work prettly good, but I'd have to say that the best option is a compact 1-4 with a mil-dot.

Only because the mil-dot is not ballistically calibrated for anything specific.

But again, I'd have to say use a mil-dot. The AAC has a lot of drop.

I love iron sights but as my eyes get older, a scope seems to work better for me.
I've tried quite a few different scopes on various 300BOs including: 6x illuminated MilDot, 3-12 illuminated MilDot, 4-16 target scope and am messing with a 3-9 right now.
The 3-9 seems just about right since I can dial it down for close shots and have 9x when I want to shoot 100 plus.
In addition to the 3-9. I have a set of Dueck Defense offset irons for really up close and personal...

You need to decide how far most of your shots are and go from there.
Like I said, my eyes ain't what they used to be so I'm leaning towards more magnification.

If you plan to get a varmint/hog light, get a scope that sucks in as much light as possible to help those nighttime shots!

Leupold VXII 3-9x50, great in low light and magnification adjustment will fit most hunting scenarios based on 300 BO range

John are you planning to spot and stalk or are you going to to be shooting at distances great than 75 yards?

I've got a 3-9x40 in one piece mount but thinking about switching to Eotech. With 300blk, I think Eotech is good enough since you're not going to be shooting long distances.

I just went with the Nikon 1-4x M223 scope on my PLR16 and the Nikon 3x on my 300BLK

If you are shooting subsonic, scopes with a 22lr BDC should be fairly close.
Data for a 220 SMK at 1,050 fps with a 50 yard zero:
100=-7.6"
150=-23.7"
200=-48.4'

The data for a 40 grain 22 at 1,200 fps with a 50 yard zero:
100=-7.2
150=-23.5
200=-50.7
That said, might want to look at the Nikon P-22 2-7x

So has anyone made a scope with 300blk reticle like these that isn't a grand or more ?

I am running one of the Super Sniper 3-9 FFP scopes in mils with mil dot reticle. Once you know your zero for supersonic and subsonic rounds, it's easy to switch back and forth to the other using the turrets. I like the ability to dial elevation into my scope, especially for the subsonic round, since it drops so much. You can get them for about $400 to $500 on the SWFA website.
