Hi Guys and Gals Char and I spent the opening weekend at the Circle Na Ranch in Comfort Tx....and what a great weekend it was.Diane,Phil a family friend, and Mark our guide were the only ones there...so we had the place along with Phil to ourselves...Friday was sight in rifles cocktails and dinner...Wow the dinner every nite was awesome... you dont have to go there to hunt... go for the food!We hunted low fence ...Saturday morning not so good,so we went to another blind that Phil could "see" from his hunting up top the hill..and he said he saw action there...Yep, had plenty of doe,and 4/6 point bucks but no big 8 that Char wanted. The bucks were just starting to chase and it was fun to watch.Sunday morning and afternoon plenty of action but no 8...so it comes down to Monday morning.I told Char she needed war paint ,so I used tri color camo on her face...what a hoot when she walked in for pre hunt coffee and doughnuts. Well, the war paint worked and she took her big 8 and bout 30 mins later I got a doe. She told me not to post her pic with her goofy camo on her face but here's her first buck.Even if we didnt get anything at all it would have been awesome because of the fun we had with the kind and caring people we met...Thank you Diane...Phil and Mark Wash the hills are mostly high fence

Thank you Wash... We missed you both 10 minutes after you left! What a fun weekend! Your pix came out great and your kind words mean a lot but the pleasure was all ours... Hah! You're the only guy I know that calls the lodge from the bunkhouse to say you heard the feeder go off... I say hmmmmm... What feeder did you hear go off? ( there is NO feeder anywhere near the bunkhouse.... ) His reply? The one in the kitchen... We're coming in for a snack....:)). Love it!!! Cankor... We do not have a score yet... Still quartering! Diane

Great story and trophy buck!
"It is the same boiling water that softens the rice, which hardens the egg." It's not always about the circumstances, but what you are made of....
