Here's a video of my blown stalk on a Java Rusa Stag at the Kingham Safari Ranch outside of Brisbane, Australia this past June. It's just over 3 minutes long. You don't really see the stag until the end when he busts me, but if you look closely when the camera zooms in, just to the left of my head, you can see his antlers go down as he puts his head down. He was in a low wallow, kinda like a hole, raking his antlers back and forth to collect grass. When he put his head down I would move. When he'd look up, I'd freeze. Because he was in a low spot it made for a good stalk, but it also made him hard to see. Even though I was only 20 yards away, I had a hump in front of me and I could only see the top of his back and antlers, so no shot. I chose to go around the hump and when I just about cleared it I stopped to hook up my release and he busts me. Hind sight 20/20 and all that, I wish I had gone up on the hump and elevated to make more of his body visible. Or, just knelt behind the hump, shown some patience, and waited for him to finish raking his antlers and moved out and given me a shot that way. Oh well, woulda, coulda, shoulda. It all worked out. I got him the next day! One thing you don't see on camera, is the group of does who were maybe 75 yards away to my right just watching it all go down. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Vz7C8blKvo&list=UUNYo7IX4g64idSHEW4aODZg

Cool. Was the end like a clip from the next day (the shot)?

Yes it was. Forgot that was spliced in there at the very end. The slicktrick 125 did it's job and he dropped right there and after a bit of flailing it was over.
