Hunted hard all day Saturday, never heard one gobble. Hoping the they start talking soon!
Also hunted a friends place in Hill Co on Sunday and heard a few gobbles early on, but never saw anything.

Don't think I have heard one this year yet in Wise Co, but I don't really have much land to chase one. They roost on the 250 acres behind me, or did. Have seen single hens already for 3 weeks

We had a good weekend in Coryell county. It still maybe a couple weeks early though. Lots of responses from around 730-2pm. Called up 9 different birds Saturday only to be busted the big one..they were still coming in groups of 2-4.. One guy had close to 15 toms and jakes.. They'd respond but wouldn't quite commit.. Two guys killed birds with 9-10" beards...
