Like that kind of brushy/openings country, like seeing turkey too. A flock or 2 would be nice, over run, would be a PITA.

Another shot. 8 hens, no gobbler. My grandson shot these pics out of a pop=up blind while bow hunting.
2 8 pointers showed up but too far to shoot (That's why grandpa uses a rifle!)

This time of the year usually will not see hens and gobblers together unless they get together during the day or in some locals at the roost but usually do not stay together that long like in the Spring. Groups of a few mature gobblers, other groups of Jakes and other groups of Hens of all ages are common at this time.
