Been seeing and hearing them every day for a week or so. Should be good hunting. Good luck!

Hunted south of Junction last weekend(South and East of Sonora). Good gobbling on the roost. Toms are for the most part still in bachelor groups and hens were quiet. I'm sure they have progressed this last week with the nice weather.

Yep. Same way in Ozona. Not sure if they just weren't ready or because of the rainy weather. They seemed to be on the edge though. This weekend and next should be great.

That drive down I-35 in the construction zone had me a nervous wreck. Think I will avoid that the next time

Out at the place south of Rock Springs near Brackett last week through Tuesday. Gobblers making lots of noise but VERY henned up. They would respond but would not come away from the hens they were with. We had a few chances with moving birds but couldn't make it happen. Tjack on here had better luck near Junction later this week, but said he had to work hard to get between hen groups and the Toms to get a bird. Lots of gobbling, so the season looks promising once the unbred hen groups thin out a bit and Toms start actively searching for hens.

Very important right now to "be where the turkeys want to go". Almost an ambush only type of hunt. Once some of the hens begin nesting, it will get really good.

We had success! We just got lucky and caught a gobbler that must have got lost from the group, because they was henned up pretty bad, lots of gobbling though! My chick missed a bird at 10 yards called him into are lap, and she then got redemption on a different lone tom a few hours later, 11" beard (not bad for it being so rocky) one 1 1/8 spur, the other was broke and rotted, he was a old warrior of I can figure out how to post pics from my phone I will
