My dad got this this morning in Mills County. Anybody seen anything like that before on a turkey?

Looks like a melanistic turkey. That's a once in a lifetime kill. Hope he get's it mounted. Can you show more pictures?

I personally would not mount a turkey but that one is no doubt wall worthy.

It does look simialr to that domestic bird. The one that was killed had to be born in the wild though. He had spurs. He was an older turkey too.

This is the first year we've hunted Mills County, so we haven't seen a lot just yet. I will definitely be on the look out now.
