Made it in last about 6 from New Mexico and packed everything and was going to leave early this morning but ended up sleeping in. I finally got to the lease about 12:20pm unloaded truck and changed cloths then headed to the woods. My first sit I ended up calling in 2 birds and taking one of them. I had been at the lease about 20mins when I shot him. I took him back to camp and put him on ice and headed back out with my bow. I ended up calling five more birds in and only got a shot at one of them and miss judged yardage and shot over him. I headed to another spot and saw 3 more birds while I was driving but didn't call anything else in. I will be back at it in the morning. Good luck to everyone tomorrow. 10in beard, 1 1/4 spurs.
