Any recommendations on good light for scanning during night varmint hunts? Won't be attached to rifle. Thinking kill light. Thanks

I just bought a kill light252 and I love it. For coyotes you want red hogs green but if you get the 252 you can buy different colors of replaceable led bulbs.

Just for info sake, I have a couple of the red lights. Armadillos don't seem to be bothered by red at all. Coons see the light, but don't get too flustered. Possums don't like the light, but don't run. They'll just climb a tree and hide. The hogs I've shot weren't much bothered by the red light, but my 'research' isn't that extensive. Don't have much data on the coyotes yet. Most of my shots are just prior to dark or early in the morning.

With fresh batteries, I know I'm good to 150 yards with the red light. I sure am glad I went ahead and bought a couple of them. Very useful.
