true, I bet if the gator had bitten the pig in half in one bite everyone would be ok about it....but its the squealing that gets most ppl to put bad comments on it. if it was nice and sanitary,,,ppl would be ok. But nature is not sanitary...

There's any old saying to the effect that pigs get fat and hogs get slaughtered ... that was a pig without a lick of sense.

Reminds me of a video my mom took of my nephews going to check hog traps with us the first time. The boys loved it, but shooting 4 squealing hogs isn't a "pretty" video. She posted it on facebook scared

It is easy to call animals dumb because they do not perceive things like we do. If you have not seen an alligator before or seen what they do, you may not realize their capability.

There are a myriad of documentaries showing all sorts of wildlife around a water hole of the veld in Africa, including lions, cheetahs, and hyenas, so you would think maybe all those animals don't have a lick of sense either being around such dangers.

Anybody ever pull a trick on you? As Chief Joe said, it was set up.

I understand your point, but you'll remember that the other pigs were much more circumspect. It reminds me of the saying about old pilots and bold pilots ...

So we finally have a natural predator for hogs... now we need to stock them throughout the state!

I was duck hunting in Louisiana and that exact thing happened before the sun came up about 30 yards down the bank of the pond we were in before the sun came up.

Yeah, we didn't hunt that morning. No idea how big the gator was, but the thrashing around was very substantial. Definitely wasn't a small pig or anything.

this is exactly what i try to show the rest of the people around me, how truly violent this world is. The gator was just trying to get a meal , so was the hog , but everyone around me is bloody naive when it comes to where there food and meat comes from. the next person who looks at me dumbly and says but you have to register your guns im gonna slap the dog sh*t out of ...

Isn't any different than feeding a rat to a ball python.

I work hard, drink a little and hunt when I can.

That's exactly what I said....literally. I was explaining this on another forum...I had a Pet Ball Python which I fed rats and mice to.
