i know with all this rain we are getting right now the hogs are probably held up in deep woods probably in bedding area. do you think it would be a waste of time to slowly walk the tree veins on my property and try to come up on bedded hogs? thats how i usually hunt them but never tried it during the rain. what do yall think?

i hunt the rain, wait till a break int he rain and they will be moving...

i hunt them in the woods while it rains. it always seems to me they like to move in the rain...

Ditto on trapperjustin. jrynef: I think you may be assuming that the hogs are held up in a debbing area during a rain. I've both seen and killed'em before, during, and after rain.

I use to think also that high winds will keep them bedded down, but lately where I hunt, they seem to move just as much when it's windy as when it's still.... Good luck!
