I recently purchased 12 snares to catch yotes on my ranch. Looking for some pointers to help me out. Thanks.

the few that i've used i set on the fence where there were
slick spots where they had shimmied under and it works pretty good.
if you were not aware of it, snares are pretty much a one-time shot.
once the wire gets kinked up from a catch, they're useless as a snare.
i'm using traps now myself. they're re-usable pretty much forever
if one doesn't get dragged off or stolen.
be conscientious of scent as much as when you're deer hunting.
cheap snares and traps are truly a waste of money. learned that the hard way.
best advice i ever got about traps and snares was swivels-swivels-swivels.
good luck. kill as many as you can because you'll be lucky to make even a tiny dent

Don't make the snare loop to big. Use your open hand as a guide as to the size when setting on a fence. Brush in the sides or close off the area to the sides of the snare. Also make sure you have the snared secured really well. The less length of the snare the less run a yote will have to break it.
