See this cat sometimes at night while pig hunting.
Already have a full body bobcat mount so I just watch him.
Checked the game cam for pigs yesterday and got this video.
This is a bobcat feeder. Enjoy !

That squirrel picked the wrong "tree" to run up.

Kinda, it's closer to Lexington.
I've seen that cat a few times at night when coons were under the feeder
and it walked on past them back in the treeline. I guess bobcats don't
eat coons but I wish they did. There was a lion walking this place two years ago,
seen every day strolling across the pasture by men working on the compound over the hill from the feeder. No one seen him for a while now but they have a big range.
Maybe we see him one night while pig hunting.

Outstanding! I have a couple stills of bobcats getting squirrels at my feeders, but nothing like this!

Pretty cool video. That squirrel wanted to 'bail'...but his fate was sealed. No chance he would get away from the bobcat, way out there in the bald a$$ open like that.

That terrain sure looks like Lexington (or around there). Gentle rolling terrain with a few patches of trees. I grew up in Austin and we'd go out to Lexington (FM 1624) to some property we had out there. I imagine it has all changed in the last 40 years. Back then that area (Lexington, Tanglewood) was referred to as "out in the sand".

Pretty much just farms/ranches with cattle on that sandy soil. One store and gas station on the highway.

I grew up in Austin myself but we always roamed west of I-35.
An amigo picked up a hundred acre place out there off 112 between
Lexington and Taylor a couple of years ago. I've grown to like that
area. Deer, a few bruisers, hogs, turkeys, bobcats, lion, coyotes, foxes,
dove,it's all there. My buds place is aprox 80% hay pasture 20% wooded.
There is a well on his place that never runs dry. Back in the dust
bowl & other droughts, wagons came from as far as 30 miles to fill up
with water outta that well. Gonna try and get some quail going but doubt
it's gonna work out.

Dirt don't give up on the quail. Here where I live the quail have come back, BIG time. Been here 20 years and the last 4 or 5 years they have been slowly coming back. So far this year they have been all over.
