Seeing the world through rose-colored glasses, are we?

Don't worry, he'll be back. If not the same hog, some of his buddies will surely show up.

Keep after 'em!

yea, it is out in the boonies.. so when reception is bad.. it loses a few colors.. heh... but I can watch them moving around. That is at about 130 yards from the camera, so not too shabby for a 50 dollar wifi camera I can remote to :P

I'm sure I speak for others, I'd like the details on your setup.

Well, we needed a phone at the cabin in case of emergencies as cell reception is spotty, so we had them do a point-to-point system. With that installed, we were able to bring in Internet at the same time. So, we maxed out at 3mbps.

We took that signal and added a 32 ft antenna on top of the cabin, which put it about 42 ft in the air. On top of THAT, we added an omni-directional antenna for the wifi signal.

Then we added a 42" solar panel to the deer stand, and added a USB charger, a small LED light, and the wifi camera onto the stand. It is a very cheap camera, like 50 bucks (cheap as in lowest cost we could test with), so it does not do "great" at 130-ish yards from all three feeders on that stand, but it rotates 360 degrees and allows us to see animals. We will replace it with a high end camera or three higher end ones that do not rotate but use less power, next year.

Yep. We have 4 cameras on the cabin and 1 on the #4 stand. We will be adding one to each feeder that can support the wifi signal and then one on the front gate. The gate and the cabin email my phone pictures when there is motion.

You bet. If you want to try to get the stuff to do this and have the capability (i.e. wifi or internet).. and need help setting it up, let me know. I always love helping folks enjoy this stuff.

Second picture is a deer. Hog might come back though.

Best of luck.
