I've never seen this addressed in any videos or forums. I have a FoxPro3 and wondering if it's ok if you start out with Jackrabbit for 15 mins or so and no action, if you should immediately switch to another call, say Cottontail or any other, or maybe wait 15 mins of silence then try another?

I do it all the time on my FX3. I usually start out with lightening jack. I have also been calling and not had anything come to the call and change the call with no pause and then have critters come to the new call.

Ive been calling using the lightening jack, then switched to a higher pitched call and called in cats several times.

Most important is the wind, the approach, and try to have the sun at your back if your day time calling.

Yeah I don't think the critters know that is this animal and now its this one. I just think they can tell it gets higher pitched and more stressed. Do what you feel comfortable with. If it sounds like a dying lunch they will come!

Usually when I'm calling I switch about every 5-7 minutes. I've had really good sucess this way!

We've had good luck(providing you're anywhere near them) with cottontail squeals for a few minutes followed with disturbed chicken/rooster sounds. Out in Lone Oak it gets em in really close at night.

Yep especially with cats, I believe lots of times cats are in range and you never know. Change it up a little and bam they pop their heads out.

I'd be switching it up well before 15 minutes, and definitely wouldn't wait 15 minutes before changing to a different sound.

No it does not suck! I have used mine about 4 times so far and have yet to be skunked. I have found that starting out with the one where it sounds like a pack of yotes calling and then switching to lightning jack has yet to fail me. Maybe just luck but thats what the guy on Furtakers seems to do the most so I tried it.
