Any positive reports on Panhandle pheasant chicks or broods. Last week I saw some good showers on radar out there.

Seeing a lot of birds around Spearman, should be very close to pre-drought, normal population numbers. We had really good hunts last year but this year should be quite a bit better if it will rain some.

We've had a couple really ugly hailstorms around Dalhart. I haven't seen a brood yet!

Hailstorms have been hit or miss....some areas loaded with birds, others no chicks in sight.

Can anyone recommend any guides up around Spearman?
Don't talk the talk if you didn't walk the walk.

Just got a fresh report from my crop duster buddy out at Hale Center. Said he's seeing more pheasants and quail than he's seen in the last 7 or 8 years. Unless something bad happens like a big summer hail storm or a really big early snow, it should be great.
Silver spurs and gold tequila keep me hanging on. Pretty girls and old cantinas give me shelter from the storm.
