Looks as if you had a good one. Did you get a second pointer?
Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

I did, but I have the option to return it and I'm going to do so. I still would like to find another good one.
Also, these pics are a combination of 2 hunts

Thank you for posting the pics, bet your son will always remember the hunt. How may coveys were you seeing out there?
Shopping with your husband is like hunting with the game warden. Experience is what you get, when you didn't get what you wanted.

Had poor dog work and lost half the birds we shot down ( picked up 4/8). Vegetation VERY thick. Moderately crowded. Found 2 coveys first day (all day) and 2 coveys second day (8am -10am). Better dogs and later in season would be different story I feel.

Great pictures of a memorable hunt! Love to see a youngster enjoying bird hunting and man does that platter look like a fitting reward! I plan on making a hunt or so to Oklahoma later in the season and glad to see Black Kettle is productive.

Great pics love that place.
Haven't had it in years but never spit any out. I am a sucker for happy endings and strapped cowboys.

It makes me happy to see pics of you and your son out hunting. We have to get more youngsters involved. My 11 year old is coming into his own this season-he beat me on the draw last time out! I don't believe I ever shot a bird that wasn't sitting on a fence or something before I was 13...I'm one proud pop.
