Does anyone hunt Fort Hood for Quail or grouse? If so how is it? I just moved to Fort Hood and am an avid hunter and fisherman. I'm just trying to get any information that will help me out so I can start enjoying the outdoors gain.

NO grouse.
I hunted quail there years ago. We found a few quail.
Stoptoflush on this forum hunts there a lot.
Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

Thanks Bill. Well if anyone needs a hunting partner or just someone to go once or twice I would be more than happy to go. I don't have dogs or anything though.

The only grouse in Texas are endangered prairie chickens in the panhandle and on a refuge near Houston. They are protected but you won't find any @ Ft. Hood anyway.
