I know in "good" years its not uncommon for many bird species to have multiple hatches.....with the conditions this year what's the likelihood of multiple quail hatches?

Fingers crossed for double clutching.

Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

I don't see any reason we won't have two hatches from a lot of birds this year in irion co.

We have had two hatchlings in Menard the past two years. We even had two hatchings of turkey last year too.

I sure hope it will happen, with the good carry over this year it would be amazing!! But can't see how it could be better than last year. I'll take another 2015-2016 season and be very thankful!!!

Had two last year here. Its looking real good for this year with all the rain and growth we have had so far. Just seen a couple running down my gravel road yesterday.

We've had allot of rain, the mesquites are straining to stand up due to heavy foliage and bean crop and we're getting another round of blooms. Some of the birds are thumb size and others are already 3 to 4 inches. Broom weed is thick!

Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.

I spotted my first brood of the year on Tuesday. Appeared to be a dozen little ones and adult pair.

My hopes are up. I went to the lease this weekend and probably saw 20 pairs, just like this spring.
