We had a rough start. Got stranded in Llano for a few hours no diesel to be had. Then had a triple a get us to a station near by with fuel. We ended up getting in at 4am. 2hrs later we were up and off. No pics taken but all three of us killed around 10 birds. We could've stayed out to finish but we decided to wait for the evening. Saw lots of teal buzzing at first light.

We are headed back limited out every day in Rule. Lots of Eurasian birds. Three of us hunted and we had to hunt both morning and evening to get our limit but honestly we could've had limits every day. We spent lots of time eating and cooking. We ate like kings.

This area has always produced tons of birds we usually limit out fast but this year you had to really work. You could shoot a limit in one hunt but you'd be sitting till 11am probably. I think I actually enjoyed working a little more for the birds. Over the weekend I used my 28g 20 and 12. I actually didn't shoot well but early in the evening hints we always had our limit. I'd say the Rule Haskell area has about half the birds it usually has. The three week front and hurricane have definitely taken a toll. Maybe it'll pickup in the next few weeks.

Oh by the way. The teal were thick up there. We saw a dozen or so huge flocks buzzing around every morning
