Went out this morning. We decided to ditch the mojos and stick with a small spread and a jerk line. There wasnt much flying but we did nab a couple of the fattest mallards I've ever soon.
They are taking a bath in brine then next weekend they get roasted.

We had all mallards early- ended with 3 drakes- mallard, woodie and spoonie. This was the most difficult day I can remember in the last 4-5 years. If they would decoy, enough birds for 3 limits- not sure if just stale birds, cloud cover- or we were loud- birds would cup, get inside 50 yards or so and flair every time.

Think we were just exposed with lack of sun- frustrating

Should have shot more passing shots today- but I like them with their landing gear in tact

Birds have been super stale and hard to decoy for sure. We need the cold to push some new dumb ones in...
