Looking for a honest and reasonable boat machanic to repair a 40 hp 3 cyl Mercury outboard in the dfw area.if anybody knows one it would be greatly appreciated.

I will recommend Terry Brown. I have not used him a lot, but I have a couple times when I first got my boat, and has been great. He rewired my boat, and has answered a lot of questions for me over the phone. I would call him, ask if he has a mechanic for your motor and how much experience the mechanic has, he has always been honest with me.

Not a thing wrong with Brown. I've never used them but always heard positive stuff. I use Tommy at Rockwall Marine. They aren't the cheapest in the metro but they won't screw you.
