Anybody using this call? Iv'e been practicing on it for 2 seasons now and don't feel as if I am getting the right tones I am looking for. Are you using any grunt to the call to get scratchy tones or are you straight blowing into the call?

I have the same call and it is my go to. I am simply blowing straight into the call but to get any deep murmur's out of it i am using alot of grunting. Everyone is different on a call but to get that pure squawk out of it, using more of a "phhhht"

Thanks. I watched the YouTube video on the call and just couldn't replicate anything that one guy was getting.

Garrett, are you just strictly using a large volume of air with no grunt when just barking? Or do you incorporate a grunt at all?

Need to incorporate a grunt into that call. When using a snow call you can give loud bursts into the call and then grunt with it. Choke it down and make a couple speck clucks to throw in extra notes. A snow goose call can wear a man out and make you light headed. I've got that same call as well. But I agree, the sounds they guy makes on the video are tough to mimic. Have a friend who bought the same call as well. Right out of the package his sounded a lot different than mine, thought that was a load of crap

If you,re not liking the call try tuning it. I re-tuned mine and have it where it,s high pitched enough that it breaks over to a two tone juvie sound. Can,t get grunts out of it tuned that high though. I use it to get thier attention and switch to a lower tuned call that makes grunts for close in work.
Life,s better in waders
