Blasting the swamp rabbit at the end of hunt was an added bonus. Still have another month to get some more, be nice to have a dog instead of a canoe to pick them quackers up lol.

And thanks for not liking dark meat and giving me the ducks. What, he doesn't like filet mignon? I compare eating ducks to eating Turds. That there wood duck is like eating chihuahua droppings. Geese or mergies are like St. Bernard dung. You gotta do A Lot to a turd to make it taste good. Everybody's got there secret recipes

congrats on the wood ducks Elpatoloco, learn how to cook I have no problem cooking and eating ducks, cranes, geese. Cranes are straight up beef steak. The others, not so much. As stated, you gotta do A LOT to a duck so it doesn't taste like a duck.

I take all dabblers to Kubyys. 25% pork. Jalapeño and cheese. Better than venison. Give it a try Wood ducks and teal do taste like beef tenderloin if prepped properly

My wife is not a big fan of my duck hunting and does not eat the ducks that I kill. Last Christmas, we had a Christmas party and she invited a bunch of her non hunter friends. I made bacon wrapped stuffed jalapeno and cream cheese poppers (whitewings suggestion) and then some marinated grilled duck breast from all recipes.com. I did half with Worcestershire sauce and half with teriyaki. They were gone in a heartbeat. For the bigger duck breasts, I slice them in half to let the marinade penetrate... http://texashuntingforum.com/forum/ubbth...cy_survi#UNREAD

Duck tastes good, about 10 different ways I apologise if my opinions offend you. They are all in jest. Duck chili from scratch, except for the one ingredient Should be ready in about 6 hours

A little Teal Jagerschnitzel on the Chinet for dinner. Kids don't care for the mushrooms or gravy
