So im definitely planting sunflower next dove season about 5 to 6 plots from 5ac to 7ac around the ranch for dove hunting. In the past weve grown the big head peredovik sunflowers. Most likely since we will broadcast plant these, dont have a drill. im wondering if its worth the extra cost versus other varieties like native sunflower. Also if i remember right broadcast requires around 30#-40# per acre, is that about right? Whats the irrigation schedule like as well?
Thanks!
