Been off since Thanksgiving. Wife and I deciced to renovate the duck\fish camp. Two weeks ago we had new furniture delivered and it was like putting a dress on a pig. We realized we wanted to fix the place up.

After three 20 hour days and what I guess a 5 hour day today we will finish. I am either getting old or I bit off way too big a chunk this time. This one wore my arse smooth out.

I am posting the start to finish photos. The final shot will be this afternoon.

The photos are jumbled but you get the idea. The dining table was a waste of space. We tore down a 100 year old barn. We used it for the lock panel and extended the counters for eating drinking space. I will post a series of good final pics later.

There is a outdoor shower downstairs when you step off the boat. I put hangers for the waders and decoys. There is a hose there too.

Same condos. Julie is doing much better. She goes back to work tomorrow. Life is getting back to normal.

One cool thing I figured all us duck hunters would appreciate is the set of three lights in the kitchen. They are suspended by a rectangular box screwed to the ceiling. I picked the wood from a barn we tore down. It barely had any gray paint left on it and there are large scratch marks from some kind of animal. I didn't catch it at first but while building the box saw what I thought was a bunch of worm or termite holes. Closer inspections led me to seeing pellets in the holes. Someone over the last 100 years shot the wood with what appears to be #9 or rat shot. Nice little 10 inch pattern. I thought is really added the final touch to a duck camp.
