Buddy of mine was scouting Palestine last year pulled in a spot that looked good sat there for a minute watching ducks and when the water settled he could see about four bags of corn in the water. Found a make shift blind not too far from it with a long wooden bench in it the next week he saw a picture from a guide service with a three man limit of ducks on that bench

Does seem like a small enough amount to wonder how much it takes for ducks to notice. I don't have any idea as I've never baited and never will.

Idiots.

He confronted the guy and he said somebody else had been in there hunting and said he would not hunt there again. I don't know what to think about it except that if I was hunting with that guide and got busted by the gw for baiting I would be pretty upset

Interesting opinion, that's a lot of duck guides.

Just because you've never been able to string together more than a 10 bird season, doesn't mean that everyone else baits.

Lol. I personally wouldn't of picked a federal law as bait, but I guess if you going to be a bear be a grizzly.

Does THF Staff mean you have to churn the pot to create controversy in the forums?

Guess all those ponds and sloughs with deer feeders next to them throwing corn is not considered "baiting" by some.

Wait when did feeding ducks for a for weeks before shooting them become illegal? I'll have to rethink my whole game if this is true.

Season, heck that's just the first 45 minutes.

Are you saying you shot 10 ducks in 45 minutes?
