Here we go. Hunted about 15 of 31 hunts YTD solo - young dog in training- I probably shot more birds this year than ever- but numbers definitely down.

I am typically done by 8:30 or 9

At 125 and counting, vs 170 last year total- does include 2 4 gun limits last year, so probably about the same.

Last year I hunted 10 times and got 32 ducks. Mind you that 2 of those hunts were new spots to me and they both resulted in a skunk...

But it equates to 3.2 ducks per hunt...

This year has been way worse than last...

This year I've only gotten 15 ducks so far through 8 hunts...

Which equates to 1.9 ducks per hunt. I've had 3 hunts with 2 ducks, 3 hunts with 3 ducks and 2 hunts with 0. It's been rough! I'm hoping to up that ratio this weekend but the way this season has been, I'm not counting on it. I don't get to hunt as much as I'd like and I'm to the point in my hunting career where I like to try new spots which sometimes results in fewer ducks...

At the end of the day though, it isn't about the number of birds taken... For instance, I shot 2 new species this year. (Redhead and a nice Ringer)

Here's hoping next year holds better hunting...

Last year I shot a bunch but this year I shot quite a few. As far as hunts last year I went all the time but this year I went pretty often.

I've had a pretty stellar season as usual so compared to past seasons I would say it's been about average.

Lost the lease. Worst season in about 10 years.

I'm at about 110 just birds I've shot. I think over 200 taken on all hunts. I've got it all down in a notebook that I'll count after the season is over. 19 or 20 hunts including a couple 4 and 5 man limit hunts. My best season by far but it's only my second season to hunt ducks. I hunted them pretty hard last year but spent half the season chasing deer.

I shot 8 this year in two trips. Four each trip. The first was rough because we had three new hunters, one was on his first trip. We saw a lot of birds, but there were a lot of passing shots and confusion on when to take a shot or who should.

Second time was this past Monday at the same spot. There was three of us, one first timer. Saw far fewer birds, but also took fewer shots and there was less chaos.

Eight birds, about the same as lays year, but I learned a lot more this year. I am looking for a lease for next year and plan on hiring a guide or two.

I think I had more skunks than actual birds killed

I've shot about 116 ducks myself.

I've got the total shot by our group on all hunts I've been on but I haven't counted it up yet. I'm sure it's well over 200.

Nine hunts. 29 birds vs. 65 last year. All but one hunt guided as we lost our lease this year. High point was last Monday, hunting public, when we had a pair come in on a string. I called the shot and my son and I stood and both fired at the same time and both birds folded up stone dead. He'll be off to college next year so it won't be the same without him. Nice way to end a pretty mediocre (and expensive) season.

Too much water in my area this year. River flooded every other weekend it seemed like, lake is like freaking 25 feet high so it wiped out 90 percent of my spots. My numbers were way down, around 75 or so this year compared to 150+ the last few years. I also missed most of the season being out of state for work though.

Amazing season this season. 173 total.. Up 24 from last year, and hunted a completely different type of terrain and hunted for different species.

We'll see what next year brings along.

I just keep a log/journal. Not very difficult. But, you probably get out there waaaay more than I am able to. I only got 10 hunts in this year, and 2 of those were skunks. The birds just didn't cooperate this year for us...

17 total after this past weekend... on 10 hunts, terrible, I know...
