Being my first year out here, I'm trying to learn as much as possible. Not having a boat complicates it, but I'm doing just fine. I've been hunting around Corpus Christi/Aransas & been doing great, but man alive is there a lot of people!! Just wondering if the entire coast is like that, or is that area particularly bad. I'd love to find a little pocket to myself if possible. I don't need your spots, just a simple acknowledgement of whether or not these spots exist on the Madre
Cigarettes are like hamsters. Perfectly harmless til you put it in your mouth & light it on fire

Times are changing. Used to not be an issue even 5-10 years ago.
Buy a used $300 kayak, and it will help a lot.

A couple of things are changing, and it is a double edged sword for hunting:
1. More people are moving to Texas than anywhere else. That means that there will be more hunters. The available hunting area is not going to change, so the concentration of hunters in the same area is going to increase.
2. I think hunting is becoming more popular than it was a few years ago. Not by much, but it seems that there is a trend of increasing hunters - that's good, and bad. Good because we are passing along our legacy to a younger generation. Bad because it makes it harder and harder to find good spots on public land.
To answer your question - yes, there are still good spots left. But you have to be willing to get there. That means getting up earlier, walking further and getting further away from roads and access.

Well for starters, I would not get on a forum and talk about the area you hunt and how well you are doing. That right there will generate and interest in your area and cause more people to go check it out. If you want to get away from the masses of people, keep everything to yourself, especially if you find an area that produces, always hide your ducks and never tell people you see in the area you are killing ducks.

Solid advice

Is this a serious question?
I have noticed that the majority of the guys I run across on public are new to hunting..
