I came as close as I ever have to sinking a boat today. The boat blind was pulling water in the back. In the dark I couldn't tell, thought the sluggish boat was cuz I had a third guy and dog in the boat. It got so much in the boat that the batteries were completely under water. Thought we were going down and hauled arse as fast as we could to the shore. Happy to get on dry ground. Bilge did its thing for 15 minutes and we were off. Made it all worth while to get 3 limits in 30 minutes. Had 'em landing 10 feet from us today. A Christmas miracle.

Merry Christmas to all! flag

Wow, glad you made it out a live, and the ducks didn't.

If it took 15 minutes to drain, you were on the brink of going under. I was iverloaded, once, we took one over the bow as my buddy stepped up to the bow. I saw the water pouring over the bow and gunned the throttle and just bulldozered the nose up the concrete ramp. We were close, sounds like you were too. Blessings and miracles!!!

It went from pucker to panic real quick. But we all knew what to do and didn't lose our cool.

And it was real close Wayne. If we didn't get out of the wind within a minute or two we would have gone down.

After that adrenaline rush I didn't even notice my freezing hands. First thing I had to do was see if the plug was in, which was under a foot of water.
