After browsing on here since I was 12, 10 years later I decided to make a account! This is my first season duck hunting as I have always been busy with and obsessed with bow bow hunting. Let me tell you, I haven't went to the tree stand once this year, and don't have plans of going back any time soon. IM HOOKED. After having support and guidance from many great waterfowl hunters I decided to go off on my own for the second split. I've read the horror stories of public hunting on here but decided to scout for a week since classes at my college are on break.

I located some birds and tried spot A out yesterday. I had a group walk past me 10 minutes before LST and flush out several birds in my spread. Then 30 minutes later a group of crappie fisherman walked through my setup. I ended up with one and packed up. The next morning I went to spot B which was a considerable further walk in but was well worth it. Shot my first canvas back and cinnamon this morning along with several other birds. Other then hearing shots 30 minutes before LST this morning, I would say it couldn't have gone better!

Congratulations and welcome to the addiction! I sold my bow a long time ago and have been duck hunting ever since. Way more fun, more action and the ducks don’t mind if my dog comes along!
