Day1 at Las Perdices Lodge in Argentina. Landed and cleared customs by 9am, then a 4 hour drive to the Lodge (hour longer then normal due to bad wreck on highway) Arrived at Lodge in time for a late lunch and some outstanding dove hunting this evening. Took a while to get a hang of the twenty gauge Benelli, but eventually got it cooking and shot 109 birds in two and a half hours. (Group of four shot 350+). Then some quality time relaxing before a fabulous dinner. Can't wait to see what tomorrow has in store. Waders hanging by the door for a duck hunt in the AM.

Day2 morning duck hunt. Cinnamon, Silver and Speckled Teal.

This area has a plague of both dove and parakeet. The parakeets build huge communal nests that can be heard for a mile.

Here is what the outer edge of the corn fields look like from all the bird damage.

Tomorrow we're taking Fidel the English Pointer out to chase Perdiz partridges. It's a little to windy this after noon so hanging by the fire with a couple good buds and a cup of coffee. Then lunch and a siesta before heading to the dove field.

I bet Bill would enjoy it! Not exactly highrolling... I actually bartered this hunt in exchange for a Texas Mule Deer hunt and used miles for my ticket, so all I'm out of pocket is shell and tip money. up

Broke out the spotlight and did some Texas style hare hunting out of the back of the pickup. These bunnies weigh 10lbs each and are great eating according to our outfitter. Tried a new flooded maze field for duck this morning and had 20 bird limits in no time.

Tonight I'll be trying to spotlight an elusive "Chupacabra". Wish me luck....
BTW food at the lodge is OUTSTANDING. Chef Leo is grilling pork belly, sausage and ribs for lunch today. I can predict a food coma siesta after lunch

I'm Headed to Cordoba on Wednesday so keep the pictures coming! Won't be doing any duck hunting as we are focused on doves, but may have to add that to the itinerary for next time.

On our way home. Dove count 2000+, duck count 185, 8 partridges, 8 parakeets and 22 hares. Great mixed bag trip I can highly recommend up Accommodations were comfortable, food, drink and serivice outstanding! Anyone considering an Argintina dove trip should really look at TSC Outfitters. 2cents

Dinner for our last night was mixed bad stew with Perdiz partridges and brown hare.

Shot several Perdiz on the last hunt
this morning over a hard working English Pointer and Viszla.
