Dove hunting 30 minutes from Dallas stacked with birds? I'm on an ambulance that runs all over dfw and I've seen and heard about all the land in Frisco that is public land. Have ya ever had any luck getting permission to hunt?http://www.friscotexas.gov/299/Hunting-in-Frisco Here's the link regarding laws. I've got a couple friends who are police officers up there who say they always get calls right at coit and 121 saying they are too close.

Good luck getting to hunt for free. Unless you know the owner personally most of those fields are leased out through outfitters.

Lots of folks assume that since it shows on the Frisco map that it can legally be hunted, that anyone can just go squat on it. Either that or they don't care. I actually got permission on a few good fields many years ago, but before the season a well hated outfitter struck a deal with the land owner and I was out. Another place had squatters everywhere.
To your point, most property around DFW is being held by out of state/country investment groups. It's a double edged sword... you'll never get permission, but then again they aren't about to call the police on you from New York or China. The problem is that folks push the limits - decide to hunt with their backs to a major road or neighborhood. Police are called out, hunters have no permission to be there, are asked to leave. Not worth the hassle to me...

You couldn't pay me to hunt in Frisco anymore. Did it one year w a well hated on here lease broker and well yeah I now hate him too. Over crowded and squatters doesn't even begin to describe it. World war 3 where u are 5 ft from the person next to you is. Those guys only care about money and advertising. Once they get your money, your screwed. Take the time do some research on here and go w a reputable lease person who has birds. Stompy, me, and aggiegadwall all lease day leases for birds. We 're more than happy to help if u have any questions. We 're all out west though not in the metroplex.

LOL. I actually hunted the ne corner of coit/121 with the "outfitter" that I'm sure is being referenced to here. My spot was between the house and barn. What a disaster it was.
Go west young man...go west.
