My buddy and I are really wanting to hunt Sandhills later this year. We are both hunters but fairly new to bird hunting. Where in TX would be the best place to hunt them? Additionally, any outfitter recommendations? We are both out of the greater Houston area and want to taste the "Ribeye of the Sky". Appreciate y'alls help!

Check out Muddy Water Outfitters. They were really chasing them last year. Was planning on going with them this year, but we've got a little one on the way just in time for waterfowl season.

Although I have not been with Avian Skies on a crane hunt I have hunted with them on several occasions Will and his guys are top notch ,I think his dad even makes a Sandhill call.Have fun and good luck to whoever you choose.

Shot a six man limit last year. Great experience.

Will is a great guide and will make sure you are on the birds.
