lol!!!!!

I've burned more brass on snipe with nothing to show for it than any other specie of bird. Those bad boys are HARD to hit!

Good pics. Got out with my boys this eve. One walked and flushed and one blocked. My oldest got 4 shooting the passers that flew over and youngest got 3 on the jump.

Good pics! Are snipe the only common Texas shore bird with long beaks? I've always wanted to hunt them, but feel like I see multiple species that look pretty similar (long beak, smallish dark body) and don't want to kill the wrong bird. Any thoughts or ID tips?

Good job. Those birds are hard to get. I must confess though they are the worst tasting bird I have ever eaten. Mine came from a cattle infested creek bed though. The dog wouldn't even eat any of the meat. Perhaps you have a good recipe?

I've seen two pointed in my life. My friends shot three Saturday. Tough shooting and difficult to find.

We've always hunted them at night, with pillowcases. Of course, we've never had much success, but we keep taking the kids out and having them try, try again...
