I am goin duck hunting for the first time on saturday and dont know if id be better off with a 2-3/4" 12 gauge or 3" 20 gauge...help please

12 ga. For sure bud.

Only reason I'm taking my 20 is because the 12 still needs to be fixed and wife ain't gonna let me have my new 12 before Xmas.

I usually use #4 shot, but some go heavier.
3" kills em deader.

Either will work but go with the 12 gauge. Are you using a pump or semi?

If you miss with the 12 or the 20 it wont really make much difference. If you hit with either, you will get your game.
