Went to some public land in East Texas this morning. I didn't see a single bird flying. I at least want missed birds to cuss at if I'm going home empty handed....

Hunted public land in region 6 on Friday. My wife and I saw 8 birds total. 3 in range. 1 Mourning Dove harvested. Sure hope the birds start to show up or it will be hard to convince her to hunt much longer.

Scouted out a WMA down here on the coast. After about a hour, I saw one dove and a whole bunch of grackles.

I went out today on family land right off I-45 in Leon County(borderline east Texas)/ I saw one bird. He landed on a branch about 7 yards away from me. He took off when he saw me and I hit him going away from me. 1 for 1. The bird count sucks, but I left with a 100% shooting rating. LOL

Gotta use that precious gas to get to the birds out west yep. Just got home from another sat eve/sun morn shoot. Another 2 limits. Thats 8 limits for the year on dove. My middle son has 7 limits. My oldest 3 and my youngest 5 limits. There have been no non limits hunts so far. 23 hunts between us...23 limits. And were just getting started it seems! We should have close to 700 dove in the freezer by the first of November with our schedules.

Well, y'all answered my question. Was going to take my gear east and hunt public after work tomorrow but I'll leave it at home.
