Looking for an iPhone app that can replace my handheld GPS for saving waypoints and hiking trails when hunting. Any suggestions?

I don't know if apple has it or not but I use HuntStand on my android. I like it because you can save hunting locations and sync it up so you can also view and edit on your computer.

Yep navionics app. Very accurate. Gets me to my spot even in my 3 am walk to my spot in the fog.

General comment - These things are awesome and have saved my butt more than once. Had a "on the X" spot located for a duck hunt. Had scouted it in the daytime and thought getting in (up the creek, through the flooded willows, around the stumps, etc.) wouldn't be a problem. WRONG- pitch black with dense fog and I got as lost as a (you fill in). Spot light only makes it worse. Got 100yds off the ramp and couldn't even get back. Phone app to the rescue. I have used GPS Hunt.

I've used GAIA several times, namely when backpacking in Utah and not wanting to carry paper maps.
One of my favorite features is the ability to save huge parts of the map for offline tracking, given the GPS's ability to locate. Money well spent.
