Anyone dove hunt in the Giddings area and have good luck? Found a place to hunt out there and wanted some incite. Thanks in advance

dove fields are a funny thing, some have birds so thick you could use a net to catch them, then the next day not even a chichi bird in the sky. Then you have some that just never have birds no matter how much milo or corn you dump out.

best way to know is to go out and check the place out...its a win win really

It's like anywhere else. Just depends on where you go. There's not a whole lot of farming (corn and milo) in Lee county any more but if you can find a big field the shooting can be pretty good. We don't see a lot of doves on our place near Lexington.

I hunt in Giddings-(not for dove), but I never see many doves, it does not seem to me a migratory route for them and not enough agriculture to interest them.I wish it was though.
