I killed my first duck yesterday and it was a wood duck and before the season started I told my dad all I wanted to kill was a wood duck this year and get it mounted. I got lucky enough it was also my first duck and it's a gorgeous drake. Come in alone and smoked him at around 50 yards So I'm looking for some advice on getting it mounted. I want it to be a wall mount but not sure if I want it flying or what. Looking for some opinions on what to do and who to use. Thanks!

Birdman Studios has a large photo gallery of standing and flying ducks to scroll through.

It can give you some ideas.

Then decide how much you want to spend and choose someone who specializes in waterfowl.

I've always been partial to the standing wood duck mounts. Jmo

To me they look best standing. As Brady stated get in birdman studio and find what you might want to do. That's what I do to find the pose I want.

Going to do mine like this or find a piece of wood with a hole in it to mount the hen and have the drake flying in.

That is pretty cool.

Congratulations. This is still on the bucket lists for ducks to shoot. Love the above photo for a mount idea
