Was taking the boys back to the timber to get some green in their face and found this at 5am!



Came back later in the day to check things out and found more problems...





Had to turn around and sit in the marsh. They had fun and had to settle for some teal...

I won't be able to fix it until the spring. Not losing water, but water is where it is not supposed to be!

That sucks. We have two washed out tank dams that we are going to have to fix when it dries out.

It would be this way. We lost a lot of birds with this cold front, but there is plenty in the far back where we need to get. The argos can get there, but getting groups of any size back there is the challenge.

Lots of birds were pushed out for us as well.

We lost every bird we had Saturday night. Had tons dropping in Saturday all day, went back to check it out that evening and still had a few hundred birds on the water. Sunday morning we got off two shots.

not much you can do about it. just gotta make the best out of the situation

Funny thing about hunting with kids. My boy could care less if it's a strap full of greenheads, pintails or coots as long as he has action & gets to spend man time with dads. I'm willing to bet your boys feel the same.

Oh yeah. Every bird that hit the water was a "two headed green head with double bands." Lol
