Don't wanna steal his thunder so I'll let him fill ya in on all the details but a fellow THF member is about to get a visit from Santa. Yes, I have boat envy today.

Yeah Baby and it's all mine!
Thanks for all the help Rick (Homey) and to all that contributed to the Gator Trax build post. Especially txtrophy85 who's timing was perfect on the post and follow up questions.
And most of all thanks to my Brother who bought this baby for my 60th birthday earlier this year! He is a heck of a guy and I think he was getting sick of getting his butt puckered in my little 15' Riverhawk!
Thanks again Rick and anyone looking into Gator Trax boats would do well to get guidance from Rick.
Now to get a condo rented for Wayne's coastal extravaganza and see what she'll do down there.

The out board is probably perfect for the coast. Only reason I prefer my mud buddy is hitting stumps, and I hit several on every north texas hunting trip.

I've hunted N. Texas lakes for 35+ years w/outboards and have hit my fair share of underwater obstructions. Since I'm only idling when I go through questionable areas, I've never had a problem...not even a shear pin (knock on wood!). I loved the idea of a M.M., just didn't want to not have the speed when I wanted it and I can't stand how loud they are.

Like many have said, every boat is a compromise, especially w/waterfowlers. I've had to change where I hunt many times do to big winds/waves, and tell some buddies they couldn't go because I couldn't carry more than 2-3. This boat/motor fits ME and my style to a tee!

And Fooshman, you kill me!
