I was fortunate enough to shoot a banded mallard this year along with a pintail and canvasback. I am looking for a taxidermist that will do a heck of a good job. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

If your in NTX then my recomendation goes to Fallen Feathers in Sherman TX. I just picked up three amazing mounts from him and dropped off two more. He is on the forum here and posts often i the taxidermy section. Send Jeremy a PM or give him a call.

Bobby Weid in Eagle Lake does excellent work.
He can do a heck of a mallard, but you're asking for a banded mallard. Not sure if he could do that.

I looked at avian arts studio. Very impressive. Probably the best work I've seen yet. Now I have to convince myself $425 isn't insane for a duck mount.

I consider myself pretty good though I know I'm a bit more of a drive.

Chris did a mallard for me it is incredible! I would highly recommend him if you're willing to make the commute. I consider myself pretty good though I know I'm a bit more of a drive.
