Disappointing duck hunt this morning, northeast of town- just off 1093. Anybody have luck here this weekend or have any good info on when to expect more birds? Thanks in advance.

We hunt just west of Eagle Lake.. First year on this lease. Been hunting just a little south of Columbus for 8 years. We were hunting old gravel pits, now a shallow pond in the middle of a hay field. 2 teal for 4 guys over two weekends of the teal season.
Last Saturday we picked up 2 teal again. Only saw one other group of high flyers. Landowner and every we talked to have said that it is unbelievably slow. Landowner said they got 200 teal last teal season with just family hunting it. I feel he is honest with us. Buddies hunting down the road in Garwood-one group struck out the other group limited by 8. They were about a mile from each other.
I just think it is still a little early. Better pick up soon. Good news is our pond is beautiful and the blind is comfortable.
