Herrington Processing Near Brushy Creek, just out of Frankston. Couple of young ladies, very clean and do good work.

Anybody heard of a processor on the hwy 'tween Montalba & Hwy 155, supposed to be a pair of sisters...or is this the Herrington location mentioned as being near Frankston? Hope to need a good recc of somebody closer to Palestine than Tyler. An Elkhart guy had a big ad in the recent Palestine newspaper Hunting Season section that I'm gonna check out. Got a hunt scheduled at Ft Boggy SP end of this month, and BinL has offered an almost anytime at the tiny lease they have behind his house that backs up to the south side of Lake Fayetteville.

I'd use Eckermann's for sure down there except it's not handy unless I'm going down for another hunt or the BH's sister has setup a family social event.

I do think you are talking about herringtons. They are on 315 north of 321 they are between frankston and montalba

Sounds like I need to take the back road from Montalba and find Herringtons'. The Taxi guy in Palestine had mentioned them last fall but could not place the name or an exact location....just that they were who some of his clients had used them as repeat customers and were well satisfied.

S'posed to be a BBQ place inside the Loop on Hwy 79 that's good too...and almost around the corner for me. Preparation meeting Opportunity is called having Good Luck ....and I'm not driving to Dallas to drop off stuff at Kuby's from down here.

FWIW the Taxi guy had a Lord Derby Eland on display at the time...1st one I ever saw even at DSC, SHOT Show or the NRA Show and had weighed well over 2k lbs and is a Monster sized HUGE head for a wall mount....big enough to build a Man Cave around...think Alaskan Moose sized body...

from palestine take hwy 19 towards athens, Take a right in montalba on 321 go about 8miles to 315 take a left go about 5 miles and their sign is on the left cant remember name of that road. i hope that helps you out and good luck.

jla...thanks for the info..and exactly was my plan as I live just outside the Palestine Loop off of north Link, near the entrance to Davey Dogwood Park. We moved down here last year, and still getting acclimated to things outside of the immediate Palestine area, except for the major hwy access routes for the specialty resources.

Went up to Herringtons yesterday...bunch of hard working young ladies busting it processing some New Mexico Elk.

Piece of cake from Palestine 'cause FM 315 cross's Hwy 155 about a mile north of the Loop and it's straight shot from there...and LOTS shorter than going thru Montalba.

Or for the Tyler/Lake Palestine guys ...come down Hwy 155 past Frankston & turn west on FM 321 (look for the Prairie Mound Creek signage on 155) to FM 315 at the stop sign and turn north about 2 miles and watch for the fire truck & Burn Ban signage, and go west 1.1 miles from the 315 Hwy with a dogleg to the right around the big pond. Big Yeller Hound will greet you with a smile and friendly wag, begging for an ear scratch. Decent prices too.
