Got out hunting this past week. Was hot as heck but still a lot of fun. I had a hunter come out from Arizona to hunt for a couple days before I got out and he took 4 hogs in 2 days.
I fired 10 shots and took 9 hogs. The most fun and disappointing is when I caught about 30-35 hogs out in a field and forgot to hit record on the DVR. Those hogs knew I was there because of the moon and the way I had to approach with the truck. The lead sow was standing in the road trying to get the group out of there, the rest were about 100 yards from the neighbor fence and over 200 yards out from me. I got in 5 shot's and dropped 4 hogs.
In the video the first boar is one that dug up all my feeder legs and t-posts, so I gave him a 120gr SST in the head. The next video clip is with the guy from AZ, he fires first and misses and I immediately followup with the kill. Timing is a little off in the whole video for some reason, happened in the processing.
3rd video clip I spotted 4 hogs in the field, I had about 400 yards to get to them and with my legs took about 45 minutes. When I got there only two boars on the left were visible, I take them out and scanned to the right and a sow was standing there confused. Watch as she runs off and blood coming out her right side.
Gun was a 12.5" 6.8 I built using an AR Performance barrel and Wilson Combat Whisper suppressor. Humidity was high and in combination with the dew point didn't make for ideal recording.
Scope was the Armasight Zeus Pro 640 100mm. I give a good plug for Armasight as they have now been acquired by FLIR, which should be a good venture. Best wishes to them.
Also had a tornado come down a couple miles away while there, no fun.
