The smaller spotted pig winded me and stuck it's head to investigate. Big mistake because I put one right into it's throat.

The darker pig was shot a little forward on the shoulder. He took off and I lined up a second shot that missed and then took out his back legs. You can see from the pic how his back leg is broken and deformed. This is the first pig I've ever put down on a dead run.

The bigger spotted pig took one a little high to the neck (pigs spoked just before I shot). Shot two hit him back and the third shot took out his front shoulder. I'm not sure how much this pig weighed, but was as solid.

Nice job!

I have seen several hogs with leg injuries. I assume that many of them are from being shot previously, but some may be from traps, broken when young, hit by cars, or just deformities. However, they still seem to get around quite well.

I must say, that is an interesting color choice for hunting shoes. clap

I had found the pig, but left my phone back at my hunting cabin, so I couldn't get a picture. On our lease the rule of thumb is a kill didn't happen without a pic to prove it. The other rule of thumb is no pig weighs more than 150 without some sort of size comparison or weighing the animal. Those were the shoes I wore home and I needed a picture with something for size comparison, so that's why you see my ASICS.
