The last rib is not where I would want to place my first shot on a boar that big, LOL. I think I would wait for a better shot.

Feral hogs were extremely rare in that part of Mississiipi when I hunted there as a teenager back in the late 70's and early 80's. Never saw one or any sign of them.

We never saw feral hogs in NE Louisiana (a mile from Mississippi) when I was growing up, but they have moved in now. Probably they showed up about 8 or 10 years ago, per my cousin.

Kilmicheal is right up the road from my MIL. She lives within a half hour of there. She doesn't have pig yet though.

My dad shot one this weekend that was basically half that size (197#) and it was a PITA to get in the truck. Can't imagine doubling (and a little) that and trying to load it.
