Boykin breeding happening Fall/Winter 2017 featuring HRCH Wrecker's Southern Mermaid "Ariel"
Wanted to notify folks that Ariel will be breeding again this Fall if you want to get on our list. Only have spots available for males at this time, expect $2,200 for males. I've got my sire list narrowed down to a couple, and I'll announce the sire when I have that locked in. Pups likely born late December/early January, in Houston, TX.
Ariel is a 2X Boykin National Retriever Field Trial Finalist (2015, 2016) in the Open class, with her best finish a 3rd place in 2016. She was the first Boykin in Texas to earn her HRCH (Hunting Retriever Champion) title, and is still the only female in Texas with this title. Her father is 4-Time Boykin National Champion HRCH Justahomewrecker PCH05 UICH06 NCH06 UOCH08
In 2015, she was still an HR titled dog, and had yet to earn her HRCH, as we had only started training for the Finished/Open level a few weeks before the National that year. So although we "came to play" in the Intermediate class that year, we thought we would enter in the Open class "just for fun". Little did we know, Ariel and I would end up running 8 series over just 2 days that weekend, earning a JAM in Intermediate and making it to the Final series in Open! What a fun and thrilling weekend!
In 2016, Ariel and I earned our HRCH, as well as earned a 3rd place in Open at the Boykin Retriever National. We also competed in the HRC Spring Grand since our home club was hosting, and even though it had only been 2 months since earning our HRCH, we made it thru 2 series with no handles on the marks. Ariel was a marking machine that year, having been entered in 1 Finished test (passed), 2 AKC Master tests (passed), running the Boykin National Open class (3rd), and ran 2 series in the Grand, and only handled on 1 mark all that year at an AKC Master test.
This year, we have been working towards our AKC Master Hunter Retriever Title. She has 4 passes earned to date, needs 2 more.
Ariel is 100% amateur owned/trained/handled.
